Sometimes the hard thing is trying to reestablish a relationship when work and study are in the way. This is my case with a friend of mine who was my best friend since the 8^th grade but because we went our separate ways because of the university we do not talk as much as we use to. I sincerely regret what happened to our relationship because I really appreciated what I had with her. I would like to strengthen our relationship to how it was in the past. I believe the best way to do this is by organizing my schedule to see when I have can spend time with her, I would try to establish communication with her again and remember what are mutual interests are so I can invite her to events which both of us maybe interested in.

As mentioned before, one of the most important things to do is to organize my schedule so I can see when I can spend time with her. This is very important since it is best that my time with her does not interfere with the time I spend studying since that would transform my interest in establishing a relationship with her again into a hassle. It is also important because that way we can both discuss when we can make time for each other.

 It is also important for me to establish communication with her again. This way I can show interest in reestablishing the relationship that I had with her. Communication can also be a gateway to strengthen our friendship for the long term.

Lastly, I believe that I should remember what are mutual interests are so I can invite her to events which we both like. This is very important since that way we can remember how strong our relationship was when we were bests friends. Also it can be beneficial in the way that I can invite her to events that are university related and that way I do not have to sacrifice my study time to spend time with her.

In conclusion, to reestablish a relationship while having to manage work and study is a difficult task, but it is important because the relationships you make with people in your life are priceless. I believe it will all be worthwhile because I will be able to form a stronger relationship with my once best friend. It all rounds up to demonstrating to the other person how important that relationship really is for you.

What caused her father to go bowling a second time was that he wanted to feel again the union that he felt with his children the first time that they went bowling

•                 Do you agree with her that it must have been frightening for her father to live with children that adopted American culture and American lifestyle (paragraph 5)

I don’t think that frightening is the right word for it, I think that he felt frustrated because he could not understand this new culture and felt unknown to this that he wasn’t accustomed to. I believe that he also felt sad because he could not feel the same union that he felt with his first daughter before they moved from his home country with his other children.

•                 Why does the author feel odd teaching her father to bowl (paragraph7) have you ever taught a parent or grandparent something new, perhaps how to use a cellphone, email, or conduct an internet search? Explain the feeling you experienced as you did this. Where you proud? Excited? Embarrassed?

I believe she felt odd because she had always been accustomed to her father teaching her things. I think I can relate to her feeling because I feel that a parent is someone who guides you through life and is always teaching you and for you to be the one teaching them is something that will always feel a little odd at first. For example once my grandmother asked me to teach her how to send a text message and I felt a little odd at first but then I just accepted that even though they are the people that are always teaching you things doesn’t mean that they know it all.
